Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith who was raised by a loving family and supported by his parents. He was the oldest of four children born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family who imprinted her faith in God’s grace upon her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a joint effort of the family. Chris Oyakhilome Reverend Ken is his brother and the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church. He is also a part of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director for the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry which is home several top-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon, also known by the name of CSO, has chosen to follow in the footsteps of her father by sharing the Word of God the world. She is a gifted gospel singer who has won awards and is an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student at Edo College and was awarded an award from Bendel State University to study architecture. He also holds an honourary doctorate degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the place where he sensed God calling him to become a minister for the Lord.

The Man Of God was in the University of Cambridge when he founded the church which would eventually grow to become one of largest in the world. His prayer group, called ‘Youth for Christ’ would eventually be one of the university’s most well-known groups. These would go on to form LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.

Under the direction of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. LOVEWORLDSAT was first Christian television station that broadcast from Africa 24/7 on free-to-air channels. There are currently LoveWorld television stations available across cable and satellite networks around the world.

Chris Oyakhilome Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Christ Embassy has strong presence in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria, South Africa and Canada. The ministry operates two healing schools located in South Africa.
